Another music industry event was impacted by the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak that has been affecting several countries. Organizers of Jazzahead!, a music festival focusing on jazz that takes places annually in German, announced today, March 20, the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the event.

The festival would bring a Brazilian showcase including Anna Setton and Caixa Cubo, national promising jazz artists, and would have the support of Brasil Music Exchange – a Brazilian music fostering project carried out by means of a partnership between Brasil, Música & Artes (BM&A) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

Also, BME would take to the event a Brazilian delegation composed of music industry companies. All of them would share the Brazilian stand at Jazzahead! and participate in the networking activities planned so far.

The official note of cancellation was released by the organizers of the event and says we are living an unusual and difficult moment. The good news is that the official website of Jazzahead! informs that all the showcases will remain unchanged for the next year. The date of the 2021 edition of the festival was also disclosed: April 29 through May 2.

Organizers have informed that they will be contacting all artists and other professionals who would participate in the event to reschedule the performances for the next year.

In the FAQ section of the official website of Jazzahead!, it is informed that those who do not intend to use their credentials in the 2021 edition of the festival will be given refunds of 100% of the amount paid. All information about the subject is found here.
