In this activity, which is closed to BM&A associates and participants in the music supervision workshop held on February 5, the first Music Supervisors of Brazil will make part of a discussion group about the role of music supervisor in the relatonship between music and audiovisual productions.
How was the process?
Unlike the USA, which has the most mature market for the theme, Brazil still does not have a structured process for this super important figure in the connection between music and audiovisual productions, which is the music supervisor.
Then, through the Brasil Music Exchange export project, carried out between BM&A and Apex-Brasil, we anticipated the arrival of two American music supervisors for São Paulo, who would already be coming to BMS and they were willing to help us on this journey.
On February 5, these American music supervisors (Samantha Schilling and Justine von Winterfeldt) gave a workshop (9am to 6pm) for the firstest group of Music Supervisors in Brazil, an important milestone in the history of this process.
And so on February 8, we will promote a forum between the Brazilian Music Supervisors, the American Music Supervisors and representatives of the Brazilian audiovisual market (games, movies, TV, animation, publicity, writers) to discuss how works this connection between music works and audiovisual production, with the purpose of initiating the process of a professional musical supervision in our country.
