Top 5 in the World


Mixcloud and IRF International Radio Festival have just put out the result of the World's Best Online Radio Show and Station. The voting included over 20 thousand people all over the world.

Solid Steel Radio Show won as the best online radio show and NTS Radio as the best online radio station in the world.

Gilles Peterson's show got the first place in the World Music category. In the same category,  Brasil Music Exchange show was among the five best in the planet.
“With only 6 months on air Brasil Music Exchange show is already a success. In a prize which included listeners from all over the world the radio show was chosen as the 5th best of the world, competing with legendary names of the music and radio industry", says David McLoughlin, International Manager for BME.
In its first edition, the prize already had a strong team of jury: Nikhil Shah Co-founder of Mixcloud, Phil Catchpole Programme Manager for British Council, Paul Noble Founder of Monocle 24, Tayo Popoola Musician and DJ, Darryl von Däniken Co-founder of IRF, Karen Pearson CEO at Folded Wing, Scott Cohen Co-founder of The Orchard, Tony Prince Founder of DMC, Daniel Nathan Founder of Totally Radio, Joel Ronez Director for Le Mouv' at Radio France, Michaelangelo L'Acqua Global Music Director for W Hotels, David McLoughlin International Manager of Brasil Music Exchange, Brad Wete Features Editor at Billboard, Erik Diehn Sr. Director of Business Development, New York Public Radio. None of the jury could vote in a category in which they have ran.
