Meet one of the best-known cultural producers in New York

Bill Bragin is the director of public programing on Lincoln Center, in New York. For those who don’t know, this is the biggest performing art center in USA and in the world, in activity since 1950.

In an interview made by BRMusicExchange’s crew during his stay in Recife, for Porto Musical, he talked about the music festivals he produces, like Mid Summer Night Swing, that promotes latin rythms as forró, samba, tango and salsa.
He also spoke about the american acceptance of Brazil´s various music styles. Bill told us about the sting forró scene in US and the hip hop fans that have funk carioca influences, proving that, even though the language is not fully understood, the beat seems to attract the most diferent audiences.
