Lirinha in solo career

LIRA is the name of the solo debut of José Paes de Lira, better known in Brazil as Lirinha. A year and a half after the end of the band Cordel do Fogo Encantado, a landmark group that for eleven years mixed poetry, theater and music, Lirinha exposes new references in this new album. To the poetic rhetoric which he dominates like few composers, the artist adds guitars, keyboards, synthesizers and drums. To satisfy the curiosity of his fans, before the release of CD in October, LIRA is available for download on his new website. Lirinha is backed up by Pupillo (Nação Zumbi / stand up drums and percussion), Bacteria (Mundo Livre S/A and Otto) and Neilton (guitarist for the hardcore band Devotos). LIRA also features the special participation of Otto, Angela Ro Ro, Fernando Catatau, Maestro Forro and Lula Cortes (who had just recorded the album  ”Adebayor” a few days before he died in March).
