Questions rocking Europe (again)
Questions, one of the main hardcore bands in Brazil is back touring Europe and Russia, where they have many fans. Life is a Fight European Tour 2011 has Germany, Romania, Poland, Moldova, Latvia, Turkey, Greece and Russia on the band’s schedule. The São Paulo headbangers feel quite at home in Eastern Europe, where they’ve been many times before.
“The tour is awesome, we are in a hurry and sometimes we pass the whole day traveling by van,” wrote Eduardo Andrade, the singer. The band is posting many pictures on their Facebook, and as they told us, Russia is the country where they totally rock. We can see many people wearing Questions t-shirts and the band’s stickers decorating Russian cars.
Eduardo loved Istanbul, in Turkey, but said the city is very different from the movie “Midnight Express”. That’s a relief.
Emicida back in NY
The EP “Doozicabraba e a Revolução Silenciosa”, from the rapper Emicida, has just been released in São Paulo, at the Creators Project Brazilian version. Now it’s time to tap the Creators Project in New York, October 15th. Yes, Emicida is back to US! And this time, no bullshit passport issues!
Right after that, on 20th October, Emicida will be at the Video Music Brazil, the MTV Brazil Award, performing alongside his trumpeter partner Guizado, and Nação Zumbi, among others.
Tita Lima @Hawaii
After two months in the US touring with her American band, The Echocentrics, and also presenting her own show from the album Possibilidades (Label A) in June/July, Tita Lima is flying to Hawaii for the first time.
The singer/songwriter from São Paulo will perform in Honolulu, Hawaii on 20th October and in Maui on the 21th. Her show mixes samba-soul, dub and trip-hop.
Born into a family of musicians, Lima learned to play the piano with her grandmother and later the bass with her father, Liminha, who was bassist with the 70s rock band Os Mutantes. Check her info in our international schedule.
